Mounted tedder goes 13m wide

Kuhn offers a mounted tedder with a 13m working width: the GF 13003 model. This tedder is an effective compromise between the compact design of a 3-point mounted machine and a 13m working width, with 12 rotors! Its design and features make it suitable for use with medium-powered tractors.

The GF 13003 mounted tedder is simple and efficient. With a working width of 13m and 12 rotors, work output is impressive in terms of speed and quality:

Good ground following for high quality uptakeGood forage turningUniform forage spread on the groundOptimum expansion/fluffing quality

The two outer rotors on the right of the machine pivot for tedding on field borders. This feature requires no additional hydraulic valve as it is an integral part of the machine’s kinematics. It prevents forage loss when sent onto the neighbouring plot.

The OPTITEDD rotor, as well as the arms and tines of this new tedder, increase working capacity in terms of resistance and service life of the working parts. The machine can work in the most extreme conditions (heavy forage, stony ground, etc.). Vibrations are substantially reduced thanks to the more rigid chassis. The service life of the Heavy-Duty tines on the new rotor is twice as long as on the previous models, while retaining a flexible working capacity.

Rotor wheel deflectors are fitted, as standard, to limit forage build-up on the wheel and column.

The GF 13003 is easy to use. It has just one gearbox and two hydraulic valves for the different functions, such as folding/unfolding, oblique setting, and headland-turn position. It is simple and user friendly, so operating errors is eliminated.

The design of this machine makes it compact for safe road travel. Its centre of gravity is close to the tractor allowing it to be coupled to a medium-powered tractor.

All the features essential to reducing maintenance costs (DIGIDRIVE drive system, maintenance-free rotors) and producing impurity-free forage with high nutritional content (individual rotor articulation, asymmetrical tines for tedding parallel to the ground, wheels close to the rotors, and small-diameter rotors) have been integrated into this model.

The HLC function (Headland Lift Control) makes it possible to lift all rotors, to provide high clearance at headlands, and to facilitate manoeuvres. Consequently, the forage is tedded once only.
