New Holland CR11: new flagship combine

New Holland has finally released the model number of the new twin rotor flagship combine it will unveil at Agritechnica this weekend. It’s called the CR11, a brute powered by a 775hp C16.Flagged up as a zero-loss machine, we will have to wait until the show gets underway for the full spec, but what we can reveal is that the new Twin Clean cleaning shoe plays a key role in reducing losses. Comprising two cleaning systems behind each other, with two upper and lower sieves, two clean grain augers and two sets of pressure sensors measure cleaning shoe load. The fully automated system is said to guarantee even distribution for maximum capacity at loss levels close to zero. There is also a new straw chopping and spreading system. We will have to wait until Sunday to find out what has changed inside the cab, and for more details of the new combine’s revised driveline, which we are informed uses 25% less components and no chain drives. What we can confirm is that the CR11 can be paired with the new 15m (50ft) MacDon draper, and the 20,000-litre grain tank on the twin rotor (2x 24”) monster unloads at a brisk 210l/sec.“This new combine is a market game-changer designed to offer the next level of productivity, with no comparison to anything available on the market today,” says Lars Sorensen, head of combines and headers at New Holland Agriculture.Wider tracks and bigger tyres are available, and the Agritechnica machine will be booted with Michelin CereXBib 2 900/65R46s. The CR11 is said to be the first combine to use this 2.32m diameter tyre.Incidentally, the new flagship combine won the only gold medal in the show innovation award:Agritechnica 2023 medal winners – ProfiNext gen New Holland combine flagship at Agritechnica – ProfiFor more up-to-date farming news click here and subscribe now to profi and save 47%.Share this:TwitterFacebookRedditWhatsApp by Steven Vale More From This Author
